Reduction of the Non Revenue Water in Southeast Europe
Aquasave Ltd. Skopje, in Juni, 2015 has been chosen as a regional consultant for Macedonia and Kosovo within the frame of the project "Reduction of the Non Revenue Water in Southeast Europe", implemented by GIZ and Aquasan ( Bosnia and Hercegovina), through the open regional fund for modernization of the municipal services in Southeast Europe.
9 enterprises participated in the project covering the territories of Macedonia, Kosovo and Bosina and Hercegovina:
Macedonia: PE "Solidarnost"-Vinica, PCE " Komunalec"-Gevgelija, PE "Vodovod"-Kochani
Kosovo: Regional Water Company "Prishtina"- Operating Unit Podujevo, Regional Water Company "Prishtina"-Operating Unit Drenas, Regional Water Company "Prishtina"-Operating Unit Lipjan
Bosina and Hercegovina: Water and Sewerage Velika Kladusha, PCE "6 March"-Gorazhde, CE “Water and Sewerage “SC East Sarajevo
The training was generally conducted by the consulting company SETEC Engineering GMBH from Klagenfurt, Austria, and Mr. Bojan Ristovski (Aquasave Ltd. Skopje) and Mr. Sead Badnjevikj ( Arcoing Ltd. Saraevo) emerge as regional experts for reduction of Non Revenue Water.
Within the framework of the project, two training session have been organized so far, one in Skopje, Macedonia (17-19.06.2015) and the other one in Klagenfurt, Austria (03-06.08.2015) intended for the technical staff of the enterprises as a part of the working package for increasing the water enterprise capacity. Additionally, in Klagenfurt, Austria, from 06-07.08.2015, a training aimed for the executive managers of the communal enterprises and municipalities was organized as well.
The next step is selection of one enterprise from each country where, through certain equipment investment, the greatest portion of gained knowledge from these training sessions will be implemented in the pilot DMA.
